Balasubramanian Vellore Sridhar is a Network Engineer at Dell, with a focus on Python, OSPF, Data Center Networking, NetBrains, and Infoblox. He is currently serving as a Lab Support Engineer II and Network Engineering at Dell, where he has two different responsibilities in the same team. In his first role, he deploys Network Architectures for various divisions and helps troubleshoot layer 2 and 3. He also mentors peers to configure and deploy switches. In his second role, he is a Storage Area Network Architect trainee, where he deploys SAN Architectures and helps troubleshoot issues in the fabric while learning new protocols in SAN. Balasubramanian has a relevant experience of 2.77 years in the industry. Before joining Dell, he worked as a Graduate Co-op, Network Operations at Dell, where he upgraded an old data center network with a fast, secure, and reliable network. He helped build and deploy a 100G Datacenter network for legacy EMC from scratch and set up spanning tree and built a tree topology with 500+ network devices using Dell OS10 CLI. He also automated CLI using python and collaborated with different teams across the company to resolve network-related incidents. Before joining Dell, Balasubramanian worked as an Undergraduate Intern, Network Operations at Airtel, where he studied various Telecommunication mediums and protocols such as the zeroth layer of OSI, DWDM. He monitored the optical fiber network in which Airtel was a part of using Ciena software and measured loss in fiber optic cables using Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). He presented a report to the employees upon completion of the internship. Balasubramanian holds a Master's degree in Telecommunications Networks from Northeastern University, which he completed in 2020, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, which he completed in 2014. He is proficient in Python and is a Senior Software Engineer.
